Porcelain vases thrown this morning & already moving on to the stamping phase.
I love a good productive day in the studio!

Rainy morning means no sunrise… and an early morning in the studio playing with porcelain…. full of potential.

Another cloudy morning, steamy & warm. Dramatic sky with moody clouds sweeping across the horizon. A beautiful ride on a beautiful morning… even if the sun never quite made its way through.

And oh, but wait there’s more… Dan brought back a sweet “souvenir” to share with the class. It was kind of a layered chocolate fudge, peanut butter & OREO cookie chunk of yumminess!!!… YES, PLEASE!!!

Well, tonight was the first night of the Fall Session of my pottery wheelthrowing class at Lillstreet… so it only seemed fitting when one of my students brought in these yummy “Fall” treats!!! Thanks Jacob!!!

Yes, for the record... it is VERY dark when I start out on my morning ride…

Sunday morning was a busy day with my Dad staying overnight at my place & Day Two of ART IN THE GARDEN. But never too busy to sneak out while he was sleeping for a little sunrise bike ride!!! And it was a STUNNER!!! At first I thought it was going to be too cloudy for anything to really happen… but then Mother Nature proved me wrong!!!

And then the gray took over… for the rest of the day…

Special THANKS to everyone who came out to ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend. Especially to my Dad who made his “triumphant return” to the art fair circuit after the passing of my Mom last month. Not only did he help put in my booth, but my artist-friends also helped celebrate his 80th Birthday!!!

We’re just one day away from ART IN THE GARDEN!!!
Nine talented artists & friends getting together to host their own grassroots art fair in Glenview, Illinois. Be sure to stop by Saturday 9/7 or Sunday 9/8 from 10:00am-5:00pm to see all of the amazing work… including some spectacular collaboration projects that we’ve all been working on for weeks!!! It’s a great chance to meet the artists in a much more intimate art fair setting… it’s in Amy’s backyard garden!!!

Check out all of the details on www.grassrootsartfair.com

Looks like the Wheel C classroom is coming along nicely with brand new shelving for the students… can’t wait to see everyone filing them up!!! My new class starts next Tuesday night!!! Just hoping it’s not a crazy, mad-dash-rush to get the good ones… although we all know it will be!

 And then sometimes THIS happens!!!

A sunrise party on my camera lens! Not a huge fan of the solar flares on my camera lens…
and thus my affinity for the well-placed silhouette.
However yesterday’s “polka dot party” was pretty darn impressive!!!
