Another warm & beautiful morning. Wonderful colors working their way across the sky… with a few clouds dotting the horizon, and one larger cloud blowing in above them!

And yes, the lake water level is still a lot higher than it should be…
as seen by the ladders & walkways that seem to be floating out in the middle of the lake!!!

Warm & quiet with a LOT of clouds this morning!!! Luckily the clouds were in all the right places for a very dramatic sunrise reveal…. except for that one crazy cloud wafting through the city’s skyline early on this morning?!

For the end of this summer session, my Tuesday night pottery students have been challenged to make two matching mugs to trade on our last night of class. Of course, I’ve got to make mine too… so I threw the cylinders in class showing them how to make “matching” pieces… and then I did a bit of stamping and now adding handles! I’m making two sets… just in case something goes “wrong” along the way!!! Just hedging my bets….

Blue skies. Clear skies… and a couple geese! Could it get any more BEAUTIFUL?!!!

Another glorious morning! This time with a few more clouds for the sunrise to play with!
Always a welcome sight when the weather is this PERFECT!!!

Back from last week’s “adventure”… and back in the studio & back on the wheel.
Feels so good to be be back in the saddle again!

After a crazy busy “weekend adventure”…
it felt great to get back on my bike yesterday & back to the quiet tranquility
of the Chicago lakefront.

Also last week, while I probably should have been “training or packing”… I spent the day with my own little Great America Gang. So much fun playing with my niece, sister & cousin on all of the roller coasters, eating snacks and focusing on the FUN!!!

Oh wait, but first… Taylor had to braid Kim’s hair. Sure, we came all this way…
and THEN we braid hair???

And then finally… we got onto some rides!!!

I love that feeling of “weightlessness” when flying over the wooden hills.

Well, it’s been a crazy busy week both mentally & physically with SO much going on both good & bad. But I’m finally back in town… and trying to get back on a “new-normal” routine of some sort. So here’s me trying to get caught up… with a beautiful sunrise from last week when the wind was blowing, the waves were crashing and North Avenue Beach was flooded!!!
