Sliding into December with our first MUGSHOT MONDAY of the month!!!
With a green cone six glazed mug!
Still throwing. Still stamping.
Another vase and that one stamp that did all of the tough work!
And a detail of the freshly stamped surface… still a bit wet, and waiting for a little clean-up!
In honor of tonight’s fashion show, here’s a quick flashback to last year when I was in New York and happened to stumble upon a beautiful retrospective gallery show of some of the Victoria’s Secret “Angel” Costumes at their New York flagship store. It was a fascinating show with actual costumes, photos and artist design boards. Loved the over-the-top designs, materials & attention-to-detail.
Lots of feathers… and LOTS of mirrors!
Like these in the stairways of the Victoria’s Secret flagship store in New York City.
Another wonderful evening of musical theater last night at The Cadillac Palace Theatre. One of my all-time favorite shows with two of my favorite friends. Thanks for a magical night. Hard to believe that “MISS SAIGON” has been around for over twenty-five years now!!!
Sure, it might not be the most up-beat of shows…
but I’ve now seen it a couple times now and I love it more every time!
Even this revival with a few changes of lyrics & new songs.
The evening in the theater starts with this dramatic image on the the stage curtain to set the mood for the amazing show to come.
I’m always in awe of the decorative architectural treatments whenever I visit The Cadillac Palace Theatre. Such amazing craftsmanship… even the amazing dome over the audience with just a hint of hi-tech lighting encroaching.
Last night was a beautifully-perfect misty-foggy evening downtown. With a stroll through Daley Plaza and little pre-show Christkindlmarkt to get you in the holiday mood.
