Huge thanks to everyone who came over yesterday for our Mud & Metal Holiday Home Show. Amy and I had so much fun playing with all of you, chatting it up and selling off a few holiday gifts for your friends & loved ones. In case you missed the festivities, here are a few tiny peeks!

Okay, so this morning was too gray, damp & ugly…
but yesterday’s sunrise was AMAZING!!!

It started out cloudy without much chance for a good sunrise. But all so gradually
the clouds moved out just enough to create a SPECTACULAR SKY SHOW!!!
Great colors, great clouds… and a great precursor to yesterday’s
Mud & Metal Holiday Home Show!

One last reminder about tomorrow’s Holiday Home Show at my place!
Pottery in every room of my condo, food, drink, cookies, Christmas cheer, Tired Of Shlepping Sale on the back porch, and Amy Taylor with her incredible jewelry in the Dining Room! So much fun and a GREAT way to finish off your holiday shopping… even if it’s with a gift or three for yourself!!!

Looks like Amy Taylor has some last minute pieces on her workbench for tomorrow’s Mud & Metal Holiday Home Show at my place! I’m sure she’s hammering, smoothing & polishing like crazy getting everything ready for tomorrow! Her work is beautiful… and makes perfect holiday gifts!!!

With tomorrow’s Holiday Home Show just hours away, I’m replenishing the Tired Of Shlepping Sale with even more pieces!!! Lots of orange dots everywhere!!! Marking stuff down… some as low as $10, $5 or even FREE!!! I’m guessing these little gems will go fast!!!

Okay, so NOT every plate is perfect.
I knew that this one had a small hairline crack after bisque.
In my “usual” spot when I trim a bit too thin right along the foot ring.

But the crack looked small so I decided to give it a try…
loaded it up with glaze in hopes that it might fill itself in?! HA!!!
This trick almost never works!!!

I knew that, but thought I would share it for all of my students
who ask if they can get away with it… and the answer is still no. Sorry.

Here are some of the beauties that were in Monday night’s cone six glaze kiln.
Just replenishing the shelves a bit for Saturday’s Second Holiday Home Show!
Plenty of plates & platters just in time for the holidays for sharing with your family & friends!

Okay, so this also shows that I might “need to” expand my cone six color palette.
Anyone have a good cone 6 glaze recipe to share?
Hopefully a nicely saturated color glaze that pools & breaks in all the right places!!! Thanks.

Oh yeah, and the one with the big crack from my bad trimming…
and the one that I accidentally dropped a kiln post on top of.
Yep, it was stuck to the bottom of a shelf as I lifted it out… and it popped off… CRACK!!!
