An early morning in Dover. I feel better acclimated today and “figured out” what time the sunrise is and how far I need to ride to get to a good photo-op. So this morning I got up a little earlier and rode south to Port Mahon. Good view of the water for morning reflections, as well as some great piers & pilings for sunrise silhouettes!!! We started with clear skies… but slowly a few clouds moved in…
The clouds moved in at just the right time and lit up in wonderful shades of pink, orange & white. Perfect timing for some perfect reflections.
Day One done. Back to the hotel and then out for a quick evening run.
My shoes were tied, one mile into the sun and voila’… sunset! Perfect timing, huh?
I just happened to running down Leipsic Road over the expressway when the sunset was just right. And since I’m ALWAYS willing to “stop” running, I knew I had to take a few photos!!!
And a dramatic silhouette shot of the grandstands at Dover Downs.
NASCAR bleachers never looked so good!
Today was my first full day on-site today at the festival location. Most of the venue tents are already in place – just waiting for our decor. Several of the stages are underway and it looks we’re well on our way to another great year at the Firefly Music Festival. Luckily, I will be on my bike throughout the install on the grounds, so I will not be driving any of this heavy machinery. I much prefer to keep my feet placed safely on the ground… or pedals!
Well, today was my first morning waking up in Dover, Delaware. Luckily, I have my “Dover Bike” with for the trip. So I hopped on to check out the local sunrise beauty. Today I ended in the small town of Leipsic, which is adjacent to Dover, to watch the sun rise over the Leipsic River. Beautiful clouds. Beautiful colors. And still the best way to start my day… even if it is in Delaware!!!
