LOVED YOUR OVALS, JUST WONDERING IF YOU USED FORMS TO MAKE THEM. I HAVE BEEN MAKING POTTERY FOR 22 YEARS, HAVE MY OWNED WORKING STUDIO. I MAKE THE POTTERY MY HUSBAND DOES THE KILN WORK. THANKS BEV

HEY BEV –
Thanks for checking in… And no, I don’t use any forms to shape them. I throw a bottomless cylinder, let it stiffen up, wire it off and then shape it by hand. A little squishing, a little stretching. I let it stiffen up some more, and then I add a slab bottom. A little more finishing and they’re ready to dry. No forms. Just my hands.

thanks gary for sharing I have made test mice, but nerver thought fo designing a oval dish. I’m going to try it. Thanks again !
