So I got my first batch of test tiles back from the cone 10 firing.
I think there are a few really nice results here… and now I can’t wait to see the cone 6 versions. Remember, the glaze recipes are designed for cone 6 – these might just be a “bonus” if the same glaze works well in cone 10 reduction too!!!
And a little bit closer… not a fan of the crazing. Hope that’s gone in cone 6…
Gary, do you do workshops? I live in Portland so can’t make your classes, but would seriously consider flying out your way for a workshop! 🙂
Hi there! What brand of glaze are these? They are beautiful!
JENNY – They’re all glaze recipes that I mixed test batches of. I’m kinda new to cone 6 glazing and still trying to find a few “stable & predictable” glazes that break well on the textures and pool well in the indentations. Some of these colors are great, but have a bit too much crazing for my liking. Still trying to find better options… or “correct” the recipes for less crazing.
