Gary Jackson: Fire When Ready Pottery
A Chicago potter’s somewhat slanted view of clay & play

We’re hoping that Spring has finally hit Chicago!
Two good signs for those who live here…

Buckingham Fountain is back “squirting” in all its glory!
After lengthy restoration and a winter hiatus, the fountain is back…
along with a newly brick-paved promenade which replaces the
ever-annoying red gravel!!! So much better… and worth the wait!

Also, beautiful daffodils poking their heads out at Waveland Fieldhouse!
Although this is Chicago… and they’re predicting a mixture of rain & snow for tomorrow!!!

Let the games begin…
Today was the official start of my early morning bike ride season!!!
It’s been a long winter… and I’m hoping that spring is finally here to stay.
So to kick-off April… to kick-off spring… it’s time to start the morning rides again!
yippee!

And how appropriate that the International Olympic Committee is here
in Chicago today deciding if we get to host the Olympics in 2016.
Just thought I’d do my part…
