So after a fun studio visit a few weeks back, metalsmith Amy Taylor added a bit of her whimsy & charm to my stamped cylinders. Again, we’re working on these as a special collaboration project for ART IN THE GARDEN! It’s fun to watch her work in clay for a change… and she’s making them very ADORBS-able!!!

So once I had my cylinders stamped & trimmed, Amy Taylor came over to my studio to work on her part of our second ART IN THE GARDEN collaboration project. Amy makes a great line of jewelry that has these whimsical characters on them… called “ADORBS.” So I thought it would be great fun if Amy worked her “ADORBS” magic in clay on the side of my cylinders! And she did!!!

You know how much I LOVE a good challenge… and a good collaboration! So amidst all of my summer camps, studio time, glazing, wadding & biking… why not throw one more collaboration together for ART IN THE GARDEN?! More is more, right???

So, here’s the plan… do another collaboration with metalsmith Amy Taylor! But this time, she’s going to be working on my turf!!! No metal… just clay… inspired by her “ADORBS” collection of whimsical jewelry! So here we go…

So in the creative world of collaboration projects… I gave these tiny stamped & soda-fired “cutie-patooties” to metalsmith extraordinaire Amy Taylor a little while back… with the anticipation that she’ll do something really cool with them!!! I have a clue… but can’t wait to see them in-person at ART IN THE GARDEN on September 10th & 11th in Glenview!
