This weekend… MUD & METAL : A Collaborative Holiday Home Show! Be sure to swing by with some friends to do some of your holiday shopping. One-of-a-kind handmade gifts are always appreciated. There will be plenty of pottery in every room, Amy’s jewelry & more pottery in the dining room, food & drink in the kitchen, and again the “Tired Of Shlepping Sale” on the back porch! I’ve been replenishing shelves… and even shlepping more to the back!

Next weekend I’ll be hosting MUD & METAL : A Collaborative Holiday Home Show at my place. It’s another great chance to mark some people off your holiday gift list. Looks like these kiddos are enjoying their ART IN THE GARDEN collaboration cups. I made this summer with my pal Amy Taylor! I made the cups… she added the creatures… the kids added the smiles!!!

MUD & METAL Holiday Home Show

Looks like Diane started a wonderful dinnerware set at the first Holiday Home Show… an eclectic set of dishes… similar in style, but not so matchy-matchy! If you want to start a set too, there will be a SECOND HOLIDAY HOME SHOW on December 10th & 11th. Mark your calendars… more details to come!

The real THANKS needs to go to metalsmith Amy Taylor & husband Tom who hosted ART IN THE GARDEN this past weekend. All the while knowing that we might mess up their yard… and the Sunday storms really didn’t help any.They were gracious enough to let us leave our wet tents & shelves in their yard to dry out before packing up. So nice… and when I got there last night to pack my tent, I noticed that Tom had already re-seeded my worn spot in their beautiful yard!!! Again, so nice of them to let us use their garden every year… and special “thanks” to all of my customers who helped wear down this bare spot! Ha!!!

One last peek at Amy Taylor’s beautiful handiwork for ART IN THE GARDEN. Looks like she’s figured out a way to add a little firefly on top of my cutie-patootie mini vases?! And since Amy is totally enamored by hinges… I think there’s a good chance there will be hinges too! You’ll need to come to Glenview this weekend for ART IN THE GARDEN to see these fun collaborations in person!!!

So all of the colorful collaboration cups are assembled & painted. They still need some stain & glaze loving before they make their “big debut” at ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend in Glenview. At least one more kiln to fire before the weekend to get these cuties done! There’s a limited quantity… so come early to pick out your new friends!

It’s getting BUGGY around here!!!
Look how cute these little Amy Taylor fireflies are getting!!! You’ll need to come to ART IN THE GARDEN to see them in person… we may just have real fireflies flying around the garden too?!

Once the ADORBS characters were applied to the cylinders, Amy & I started painting them with colorful underglazes… making the characters POP even more… and maybe a little more FUN at the same time?!

Lots of collaborations in the works everywhere. All of the ART IN THE GARDEN artists are frantically working to get their collaboration projects done for next weekend’s grassroots art fair in Glenview!
