Introducing the talented metalsmith Amy Taylor… and our host for this annual art fair in her backyard!!! As well as one my “co-collaborators” this year. Amazing craftsmanship & designs… and I especially love that she uses some unconventional “stones” in her work like reflectors, pieces of bowling balls & my favorite “fordite”!!! Let’s just say… I have quite a collection of her pieces!!!

And speaking of “laboring” on Labor Day… now that metalsmith Amy Taylor has finished her part of our collaboration with all of her sgraffito doodles on my porcelain pieces, I can now get them into a glaze kiln quickly so they’re done & out in time for next weekend’s ART IN THE GARDEN! This one of the best features of ART IN THE GARDEN… several of the artists work together on different one-of-a-kind collaborations that will only be available next weekend in Glenview. And they’re all limited editions, so you might need to get there early!!!

A HUGE holiday Thank You to everyone who made it to my place this weekend for my HOLIDAY HOME SHOW. It was the perfect weekend for everyone to start their holiday shopping. So much fun hanging out & chatting with everyone in the comfort of my own home! A lot of pottery found its way to new homes… but there’s still plenty more where that came from. I’ve been very busy!

So… if you missed this weekend… or just need to do some more holiday shopping… I will be doing another HOLIDAY HOME SHOW on December 16th & 17th. The shelves will be replenished and my friend & talented metalsmith Amy Taylor will be joining me for both days!

Another huge THANK YOU to all of our loyal customers who came out to our grassroots ART IN THE GARDEN last weekend. Especially those who got there and snatched up some of our one-of-a-kind collaboration projects! Like these black & white sgraffito platters… where I made the porcelain pieces & metalsmith Amy Taylor did the sgraffito doodles. I think they turned out great.. and they all disappeared very quickly!!! So thanks again for supporting your favorite artists!

Well, we’re open for Day Two of ART IN THE GARDEN.. and we still have a few collaboration pieces for those Sunday shoppers! We’re open until 5:00pm and the weather looks fantastic again today! C’mon by… we’d love to see you!

These sgraffito platters are just a couple of the collaboration projects you’ll find at the show. Amy Taylor & I have been working on these sgraffito pieces… but most of the other artists have been collaborating with each other as well. So there will be a LOT of one-of-a-kind collaborations you won’t find anywhere else! We’ve been having a great time working together on these pieces. We hope you come see the, in person!
