Quiet & warm. Humid & still. Not a lot of clouds… but some nice reflections shimmering on the morning lake. Once again, a beautiful way to start the day… before I head back to the GLENVIEW SUMMER ART FAIR for Day Two!!!

The storm rolled through this afternoon around 4:00pm… enough to end the art fair an hour early… and by 5:00pm it was gone! And we were once again treated to blue skies & dramatic clouds!

Day One of the GLENVIEW SUMMER ART FAIR is done!
It was a bit warm today, but I have a great booth spot in the shade with a great breeze all day! So nice to be back outside at a live art fair with great customers & friends stopping by!

Not too bad… until the storm rolled through to cut-off the last hour of our show! It’s never a good sign when everyone gets an alert to their iPhones of an imminent thunderstorm warning in the area!!! Clouds, wind, rain… but not enough to cause any damage!

All good… and looking forward to another good day tomorrow! I hope you have a chance to stop by to see me in Booth #39 from 11:00am-5:00pm tomorrow!

Just a quick reminder… I’ll be setting up my tent & filling it with pottery this weekend for the Glenview Summer Art Fair. It’s supposed to be warm this weekend, but rumor has it my booth will be conveniently located under a nice shade tree!

Today at Summer Camp I received a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers & lovely note from my CIT Olivia. She worked with me for both weeks of Sculpture Camp and was a wonderful addition to my camps. But today was her last official day as a CIT. As a “Counselor-In-Training”, Olivia has been learning-the-ropes of summer camp from the teacher’s perspective. She’s been a “camper” with us before, but is now old enough to be part of the team! Olivia was a pleasure… and I hope she returns to help out with more summer camps real soon! Thanks for helping… and thanks for the note & flowers Olivia!

I’ve kinda been on a bowl-making kick lately!
Trying to replenish the supply for upcoming art fairs. Sure, this one is still wet under plastic… but there will be plenty of other serving bowls ready to go to their new forever-homes tomorrow during the Glenview Summer Art Fair!

Well, we’re finishing up another week of Wheelthrowing Summer Camp… and what better way than by having the kids clean-up after themselves… and after some of the adults too! Once again they decided to push the reclaim clay through the grid & wash down the bucket.

Something I’ve NEVER seen an adult student do…
and never with such a cute face involved!!!

Another bowl with more stamping to make it more fun! While this specific one might not make it to the art fair this weekend, there are plenty of other ones that will be done & glazed in time!!! Mark your calendar for the Glenview Summer Art Fair this weekend!!!

Sweet little black-eyed susan vine flowers climbing their way up some weathered wood. Such a wonderful contrast of the fresh & vibrant flowers intertwined with the old & paint-flaking barn board.

Another day of wheelthrowing in Summer Camp. Another day of kids “volunteering” to clean the floor as part of Summer Camp Rule #3… “Whatever mess you make, you WILL be cleaning up!”

And they did… and by “they” I mean the one who squeezed a wet sponge NOT over the sink!!! Thanks for playing along & “entertaining me” Agustina!!!
