One of my favorite “unbricking moments” was when I go the door about halfway down… and found a full pumpkin patch sitting right there… ripe for the harvesting! Pretty excited about how they turned out. Can’t wait to bring some to ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend… as well as some to ART IN THE BARN at the end of the month!
I just realized that I never quite “continued” sharing my soda kiln unloading from Monday night. So here are a few more pictures… starting with a bit more of the unbricking. Reminding people how much fun that first “sneak peek” is when you start taking the door bricks off layer by layer for the Big Reveal!!!
While we’re busy sharing sneak peeks… here’s another ART IN THE GARDEN collaboration in the works. So far I see my clay tiles “playing” with Retta Hentschel’s stained glass. And I’ve heard rumor that it “might” then go to woodworker Ken Staggs for his additions to the collaboration?!
I can’t wait to see this one… my first three-way collaboration!!!
Well, ART IN THE GARDEN is just a couple days away, and it looks like my pal Cory McCrory has added some fun underglazes & stains to her whimsical flowers! All part of the collaboration project that we’re working on together!!! Oh, wait… are those chicken feet too???.. those aren’t for me!!!… so I’m guessing that Cory must be doing another collaboration with another artist for next weekend’s show in Glenview!

So all of the colorful collaboration cups are assembled & painted. They still need some stain & glaze loving before they make their “big debut” at ART IN THE GARDEN this weekend in Glenview. At least one more kiln to fire before the weekend to get these cuties done! There’s a limited quantity… so come early to pick out your new friends!
With ART IN THE GARDEN less than a week away, we’re all working quickly to get our collaborations done by this weekend! Looks like Cory is still adding bright colors to her flowers…. making them fun, keeping them whimsical. Love them Cory… can’t wait to see people picking some of your flowers to go in my vases!!!
Just another monochromatic morning. Not much chance for a sunrise this morning… looks like we’re gonna have another gray day!
It’s getting BUGGY around here!!!
Look how cute these little Amy Taylor fireflies are getting!!! You’ll need to come to ART IN THE GARDEN to see them in person… we may just have real fireflies flying around the garden too?!
Looks like a great collaboration plan is coming together… keep it coming Cory!!!
Once the ADORBS characters were applied to the cylinders, Amy & I started painting them with colorful underglazes… making the characters POP even more… and maybe a little more FUN at the same time?!
Lots of collaborations in the works everywhere. All of the ART IN THE GARDEN artists are frantically working to get their collaboration projects done for next weekend’s grassroots art fair in Glenview!
