So this is what happens when you accidentally break off a lantana blossom while watering on the back porch… and then you just happen to have the perfect mini vase for it too!!!
Another “sneaky-peek” as start to unbrick the soda kiln. It was tough to wait… but I had Summer Campers all day who had to learn how to throw on the wheel (in three hours?) More fun with them tomorrow… but now they’re gone so I’m hoping to unload before I teach again tonight!!! Fingers crossed… so far so good!!!
The empty soda kiln is always enticing… excited about the possibilities & potential of the pots you’re about to load into it. And yet somewhat daunting when you think of all the pots, shelves & posts that need to be carefully stacked & loaded before you can call it done. A late night guaranteed.
Looks like it’s TOTEM TUESDAY! And it looks like Gerry & Rosene’s garden is doing great this summer… beautiful flowers all around their totem pole. Stamped & soda-fired pottery is always a nice addition to the garden!
Looks like some happy petunias found their place in one of my stamped & soda-fired wall hanging vases. I hope they thrive in their new home for Tina’s Mom!!!
A sweet little stamped & soda-fired mini vase with a few sprigs of fresh eucalyptus… brightening Tiffany’s table! You can almost smell the eucalyptus from here!
A couple handfuls of mugs & more while replenishing shelves this morning. Just getting ready for Day Two of the HINSDALE FINE ARTS FESTIVAL. We’re almost ready to open… it’s cooler than yesterday with a nice breeze!!! So c’mon over to enjoy Burlington Park and all of the great art. I’m in Booth 69 until 5:00pm!
Cute little flowers in a cute little vase. This little bouquet smalls amazing… but sadly, the Lily-Of-The-Valley season is quickly drawing to an end. Enjoy them while you can smell them!!!
Plus, you’ve gotta love when your friend & pottery “follower” stops by to say “Hi”… and brings along a sweet treat or two!!! You’re the BEST Melissa!!! Thanks again… burp!
I’ll also be bringing some new lidded casserole dishes to the art fair this weekend. But I’ve got to share… so for those who can’t make it to Schaumburg this weekend, I’ll also have some at the Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival next weekend!!! But there’s a limited quantity… I only have four for Schaumburg & four for Hinsdale!
