Did I mention ROAD TRIP???…
Did I mention diversions?… and snacks?… like this yummy cherry pie I picked up along the way. A quick stop at the NORSKE NOOK in Osseo to break-up the drive, stretch the legs, buy some gas… and a PIE!!!

Looks like Jody has been baking for her family & celebrating Easter with a special carrot cake… even if it might have fallen to pieces coming out of the pan?! Ha!!!
Still looks great on a nice platter with frosting drizzled everywhere!!!
I mean, I would still eat it.
Lotsa’ stamps, lotsa’ green & one really impressive spiral! Another large platter fresh out of the kiln… getting ready & building inventory for the summer art fair season which seems to be coming quickly?!
Celebrating another TEXTURE TUESDAY with a large stamped platter… fired with a nice cone six green glaze that pools, puddles & works its magic on the repetitive stamped textures!
Stamping up another platter… one handmade stamp pressed in over & over again… one by one by one… So much more fun that a plain, smooth plate!
Huge thanks to Kristen for making brownies!!!
Too bad they didn’t last very long… but I’m still totally diggin’ the powdered sugar “shadows” on the plate after the brownies were gone!!! burp…
One last thing before I left St. Louis today… I had to get me some Gooey Butter Cake! I’ve heard it’s a St. Louis classic… and I’ve never had it before… except as a “flavor” of Jeni’s Ice Cream!!! I also didn’t know it wasn’t actually cake… nor that it came in different flavors! So I “may” have gotten four flavors to try at home… and a “maybe” a brownie for the drive too?! Burp…
Better?… or was Melissa the only one who noticed that my earlier post somehow “demoted” Patrick away from being a Saint?! Too funny… I totally didn’t notice that one! My bad.
This morning I subbed for an intermediate wheelthrowing class. We talked & laughed… and then I did a couple demos. We started with throwing a large platter. And then, with a little “Julia Child kitchen switch-out magic” I switched to a platter that I had thrown a couple days ago and did a fun stamping demo for them. I think I may have won them over?…
In my Monday night Intermediate Wheelthrowing class this week, one of my students was stamping wonderful patterns on her thrown platter. Wonder where she got THAT idea?!
It looks AMAZING Christine!!!
I guess my work here is done…
