A Chicago potter’s somewhat slanted view of clay & play

No sun. No sunrise. Another monochromatic morning along the lakefront. It had some good potential, but the clouds never lit up!

Pastoral colors & serene reflections… a great way to start the day before heading back to Burlington Park for Day Two of the HINSDALE FINE ARTS FESTIVAL. I always enjoy Day Two… as the tent & shelves are already up, just a little replenishing and we’re ready to go! So much easier & relaxing than setting it all up on Day One! It looks like another beautiful day… so be sure to swing by to say “Hi” from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Driving home from Hinsdale… and treated to a beautiful sunset & scenic view of Buckingham Fountain. Another reminder of why I love living in Chicago so much. Simply beautiful… and a great way to “end” day one of the Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival.

I’ve heard great things about these cookies for quite awhile now… and finally made it into LEVAIN BAKERY on Randolph to try these sweet treats. And let me just say… they did NOT disappoint. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside & jam-packed with yumminess & plenty of chocolate chips!!! Well done Levain!!!

So good to see that some of the THOUSANDS of tulips
along Chicago’s Michigan Avenue are still blooming nicely!

The beautiful South Shore Cultural Center on the south side of Chicago… kinda where the bike trail ends… so it makes a nice place to refuel & to turn around to head back home!

The perfect day… and the perfect way… to play hooky this afternoon!!!

Today was the “official” kick-off of the running season… a fun chance to shuffle through downtown Chicago for the annual SHAMROCK SHUFFLE. While many were actually down there to “run” through the closed-down streets… I think it’s more of a chance to play with friends & do a little “touristy” photo-shoot along the way! Sightseeing & shuffling all at the same time!

Always a stunning night when you go to the Nederlander Theatre in Chicago. Beautiful architecture, interior design & crazy-cool craftsmanship everywhere you look. And that’s well before you even get to see the talent onstage!!!
