The pumpkins were finally harvested today!

I unloaded my kiln today full of Jack O’Lanterns! Lots of smiling faces looking back at me as I took them out of the kiln. Always a fun kiln to unload. And now these cute little guys are headed to “Art In The Barn” this coming weekend in Barrington!!! Here’s a quick look at just a few of them…

Gary, these are great! Been watching for the finished version since the pumpkin patch started. Is that the clear glazed clay, or is there an orange glaze on the body? Thanks! I have a small pumpkin patch of my own, waiting until they are dry enough to carve! 🙂

FIONA – It is indeed just the terra cotta clay with a clear glaze over it. There are a few “warts” on them that I did paint with orange underglaze, as well as the stems with green underglaze. The rest… clear glaze over terra cotta!
