MY HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS : Saturday, November 23rd & Sunday, November 24th

Adding some colored flashing slip accents to this latest batch of mugs. They will go into my soda kiln next weekend where these muted slip colors will react in the soda atmosphere to create some brighter colors & magical effects… if all goes as planned.

So I made a deal with my students this session… that anyone who made a wheelthrown ornament like the demo… could have it fired in my soda firing next weekend. So far, it looks like only Christine will be taking me up on “the deal” with these little cuties!

Well, THIS can’t be good. Sure the sunrise was beautiful… but this was a surprising “find” along the way… with a burnt rubber stench! A new & unique kind of “roadkill” for my morning bike ride! Just hoping everyone was okay… and pretty glad that it wasn’t MINE!!!

A chilly morning for a bike ride, but it was so nice to finally NOT have snow or rain!!!
