Dear Gary,

My name is Stephanie Bates, and I am an amateur potter. I throw out of our local recreation park studio. I have secretly followed your blog for over a year now. I say secretly because I am not on Facebook! Your blog and pottery have been such an inspiration to me!I am traveling with my husband on business to Chicago the week of Nov. 11th and would love to visit you and the LillStreet Studio on Tuesday, Nov. 12th. Will you be in town and would it be suitable for us to drop by? Thank you so much for your blog and please keep it up!

Warm regards,
Stephanie W. Bates

STEPHANIE – Thanks for following my blog… albeit in shrouded secrecy?! Say it loud, say it proud.. I LOVE POTTERY!!! No secrecy needed. With that said… you are more than welcome to stop by the studio while you’re in Chicago. You’ll be surprised how small my space actually is. My studio (205 West) is on the second floor of Lillstreet Art Center at 4401 North Ravenswood (at Montrose). There’s a whole lot to see there in addition to ME! On that Tuesday, I won’t be getting to the studio until around 6:00pm – and I teach my class from 7:00-10:00pm. So there is a small window in between if that fits your schedule. If you need to stop by earlier, the studios are typically open if any of the artists are working. So even if I’m not there, you can still snoop around my space. Just let me know of that small one-hour window might work for you. And thanks again for “secretly” checking in. GARY
