While Wednesday morning was quite a different story… much warmer with crazy cool calico-colored clouds! After a long stretch of cloud-free skies, Wednesday brought in a wonderful surprise sunrise… followed by rain! Which is all good… my garden plants were very happy! And we got THIS!!!

Another morning of clear skies… and much cooler temperature! It was a long-sleeves & gloves kinda morning!!! Pretty crazy how fast the temperatures can shift like this… it was 46-degrees when I started out this morning! And here I am still wondering what happened to Summer?! HA!!!

Yellow flowers on the beach after the morning rain.

The dahlias look amazing in my stamped & soda-fired vase… but the flowers alone are pretty STUNNING too. You know I love a good dahlia… and these dahlias from Vangies Farm are AMAZING. So many colors & textures… so huge… and so fresh coming straight from their gardens to the Farmer’s Market.

After a quick stop at the Andersonville Farmer’s Market this afternoon… I came home with some veggies & an AMAZING bouquet of dahlias from Vangie’s Farm. She custom-designs bouquets for you right on the spot… using your color choices & while blending her flowers & textures. We all know how much I LOVE dahlias… and I just happened to have the perfect oval vase to put them in!!! Shocking, right?! HA!!!

There are only two more Farmer’s Markets on the calendar…
be sure to stop by to grab some amazing flowers!!!

After a very successful ART IN THE BARN, it’s time to get back at it in the studio making more pots for the Holidays!!! It might sound far away… but my HOLIDAY HOME SHOW is always the weekend before Thanksgiving! And it will be here before you know it… so mark your calendars!!!

Another morning with totally clear skies… not a cloud to be found anywhere! Just a beautiful orange sky… and a lighthouse structure to play with! Gotta love a good morning bike ride with some silhouette fun!

You know we potters make mugs… but we also LOVE mugs! And I would say that “most” potters have a mug collection of their own… collecting mugs of friends, teachers & fellow potters from around the world! So it was great to see one of MY mugs “out in the wild”… playing in Marsha’s studio while she’s making mug handles. Kinda Meta… my mug in the studio while she’s making mugs in the studio on Mugshot Monday in Marsha’s studio!

I hate to say it… but I kinda want some clouds!!! Enough of these “perfect” cloud-free mornings. Sure, they’re pretty and all… but I prefer the morning drama of a good cloud being splashed with sunrise color! Enough of this “perfect” stuff…

Okay, so there was one high-point… a group of sunrise runners out there celebrating someone’s birthday – complete with party hats while they ran by!

And I’ve always said… “One of the best parts about biking is stopping!” And so I do… frequently. For a good photo… for a kid’s lemonade stand… for a historical marker… for homemade pie… or just to sit back & relax. Life is not a race. Slow down. Enjoy your surroundings. Appreciate nature. Breathe.
