Stamping & trimming. Another set of bowls in the works… this time a bit wider & shallower than normal. Just hoping to get these done & glazed in time for my Holiday Home Show!

Celebrating a little TEXTURE TUESDAY with some stamped & soda-fired textures! I love how the soda kiln help accentuate all of the textures kinda randomly… and yet I can still get the fun colors to POP!!! Not every soda-fired piece of pottery has to be dark gray, white or brown!!! Just sayin’…

Simple white flowers working their way through the piles of fallen leaves.

Fall is definitely here… and leaves there are a-fallin’!
Loving the colors & textures… so different on every leaf.

Another beautiful morning with a few wispy clouds blowing though the city. It started with a low & kinda uneventful layer low on the horizon… but luckily, the clouds spread & opened up to catch the colors as the sun came up.

Handles attached & mugs are done for today! For now they’re under wraps for the night so they can “rest” and let the moisture levels even out before I open them up to dry fully. Then it’s into a bisque kiln… and then a glaze kiln… and then to my HOLIDAY HOME SHOW in less than two weeks! Giddy-up!

Giving them a little time to stiffen up a bit before I start attaching them to my stamped mug cylinders. At least this way the curve of the handle is 90% established before I even start attaching them!

Great shadows coming from a group of clay “carrots” that will soon be pulled into mug handles!

It was much warmer & not so damp this morning. But the wind was blowing around EVERYwhere!!! Swirling around, dead leaves blowing, gusting & trying to blow me off my bike. So funny. A bit tougher to pedal into the wind… but the sunrise made it all worthwhile!

Okay, so there just “might” have been a little binge streaming
this weekend in the studio… allegedly.
Anyone else out there ready to confess the same???
Admitting there’s a problem is the first step.
